This recreation cleverly encompasses and brings the dynamic world and characters of Blacksad to life, whilst incorporating a brand-new story that both newcomers and fans alike can enjoy.
The smooth, jazz soundtrack does wonders for player immersion and almost immediately established the setting and era, emanating a detective noir aura right from the beginning.
Although sometimes it does come off as slightly amateurish, as a whole, the graphics and representation of the anthropomorphic cast is well done.
Some of the character design in even the collectibles, which can be found in background as portraits for the environment, feel like it's amazing if you look hard into them like I do.
Recommendation: I'd advise giving it a try, especially if you have a Steam Deck or a portable console.
