Gameplay

It still deserves all my praises for the first game -- the beautiful art direction and phenomenal soundtrack/sound design that really bring the atmosphere to life, a relatively simple yet touching story, and the INSANELY fun platforming mechanics -- and it somehow improves on it hundredfold!
Story
Players who bring up Story mostly praise it.
124 of 300 sampled reviews raised it
The new characters (especially Ku and the supporting cast) are so endearing, and the ending left me quietly crying in the best way possible.
Graphics
Players who bring up Graphics mostly praise it.
92 of 300 sampled reviews raised it
The hand-painted art style is breathtaking — every layer of parallax, every glowing particle, every blade of grass swaying in the wind looks like a living painting.
Combat
Players who bring up Combat mostly praise it.
83 of 300 sampled reviews raised it
Combat is weighty and fun (the new spirit weapons feel great), and the chase sequences are some of the most intense, perfectly paced moments in any platformer ever.
Audio
Players who bring up Audio mostly praise it.
52 of 300 sampled reviews raised it
The soundtrack is incredible and adds so much emotion to the story and world.
Steam Deck

beautiful graphics, without eyestrain. i havent had much difficulty with controls, despite this being one of the first handfuls of games i've tried, and the second platformer (the first being the prequel to this). i'm on steam deck, and even that hasn't been a problem
