Different weapons allow players to experiment with their preferred fighting styles, while equipment choices provide additional opportunities to shape a build.

The combination of methodical melee mechanics and large groups of enemies can create hectic situations, forcing players to balance careful fighting with the need to control several threats at once.

Cooperative multiplayer is one of Rogue Masters' defining features, supporting groups of up to six players.

But, where this game really shines is the co-op aspect; although souls-likes usually have co-op multiplayer, they’re not really intended to played that way as it really trivializes PvE, hence the invasions to keep the balance.

Souls-like influences can be felt in the emphasis on understanding attacks and approaching opponents with more care than would normally be required in a traditional arcade-style horde game.

Performance with the default graphics configuration is considered suitable, and the game can run successfully on SteamOS.
