Instead the game has a very detailed and beautifully made 2d-world to explore with many interesting characters and conversations.
Mutazione has: jungle sounds, extremely vibing soundtrack, this sorta post-apocalyptic solarpunk thing going on that I'm *super* into, one of the more interesting and extremely cool art directions I've seen in a game, extremely aesthetically pleasing UI, an extremely soap opera plot (in a good way) that also gets super real at times, gardening as a central game mechanic, super esoteric rituals, fungi, a non-binary spore entity, a punk catgirl, Peter Grimes, a central protagonist who's really into girls (including the aforementioned punk catgirl), and *very* lightly touches on a theme of cultural imperialism at the end, high replayability since the game lets you futz around with all the gardens from the main menu after you unlock them in the game + dialog options
- The visuals have an excellent style to them.
I have never had a game be confirmed as one of my top 10, nay, top 5 favorites with under 10 hours of gameplay before I played Mutazione.
There won't be any classic adventure game inventory puzzles.
