What players think
The recurring themes across 300 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
Overall the story is decent, but I feel like it's too barebones, it's more or less a set up for things to come, with it setting up the pieces, but those pieces not moving anywhere.
It has many pros like interesting nostalgic story, mixture of genres in one game, retro atmosphere, challenging difficulty, easy accessibility, nice graphics, great ambient soundtrack and retro sounds along with great narration.
Holy moly, the pixel art style of this game is amazing to say the least.
The difficulty was nice, very old school, and I don't care that there is no checkpoints, but the controls for each game are just awful, and you don't have controller support.
