What players think
The recurring themes across 300 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
The story feels like something from fairy tale, but with little bit of twist.
I think the majority of people who are interested in this game are so because of the pikmin-like nature strategy gameplay.
The art style and animations are adorable - the spritelings especially - and there is lots to do and explore, without being overwhelming.
The exploration and puzzle-solving are genuinely enjoyable, and commanding the Spritelings adds a fun strategic element to combat and environmental challenges.
Toward the end of campaign younger (beginner) players may get stuck in parts and may need some help, but overall decent level of puzzles and hints – steady learning curve and fail states are not too harsh, and can always rebuild from colossal failures - without resorting to saved games.
The sound design (especially for transitioning between different times of day) is also really well done.
