I liked the prequel to this game, The Land of Pain, it was a short horror game with a cool story and some fun places to explore, but I didn't really like The Alien Cube.
The lighting isn't near as dark anymore when being chased, no crashes when adjusting settings and the animations when hurt are better.
While the game has great atmosphere- gameplay wise it was slightly lacking at times.
If not for the sound design and cryengine powered visuals I feel this game would be considered very average and soon forgotten.
