What players think
The recurring themes across 170 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
It's a puzzle adventure game made in the same style as the original, full of creepy imagery, spooky music, and a story that is haunting...or at least, that's what they were shooting for.
The graphics look authentically 90's 3D, the acting is that great, campy stuff just like the early FMV games, and the green screen effects fit so well.
The ability to turn off/on subtitles is welcome, the speed of the overall gameplay is nice, and the map teleporting is most excellent.
The original soundtrack and composition were AMAZING and incredibly well done especially on MIDI.
I agree with another reviewer, the puzzles seem to be the perfect difficulty, not too easy or hard.
