What players think
The recurring themes across 271 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
The dialogue between Jon and Ollie felt very natural and realistic and I was genuinely interested in the things they talked about (plus they often namedropped people and things I was already into which was a fun surprise) Jon's experience with mental health and feeling of being seperated from others was so familiar and the story made me cry multiple times (I'm a ♥♥♥♥♥ its fine)
The sound design and music was horrifying and beautiful while some parts felt silly and fun.
The art style from the screenshots may seem "cheap", but it is grounded in skill that is clear to see in certain parts where the style is expanded on or completely flipped.
The characters’ detached conversations, awkward silences, and dry humor all build a sense of authenticity that’s rare in games exploring mental health.
