What players think
The recurring themes across 300 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
The number of possible builds and weapons that completely change the way you play is outstanding (I’ve already lost count of how many new “favorite” builds I’ve had...).
The story was engaging and having the duel zones was a nice touch.
The combat is crisp and on point as the first one was, and the never ending boon combinations never got old.
The hand-painted art style is more breathtaking than ever, the soundtrack is an instant classic, and every line of the witty, heartfelt dialogue is delivered by a flawless voice cast.
The wide variety of weapons, keepsakes and boons ensure that no two runs feel exactly the same, and the way the difficulty scales through the Fear system is both clever and player-friendly: It lets you tailor your own challenge curve instead of forcing one upon you.
That's a great achievement since Hades already had a unique and great art style.
