What players think
The recurring themes across 300 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
However, I found myself finishing the desktop game much faster and losing interest far sooner than expected compared to the mobile app, which continues to engage me, with me having about 100 hours, and still having quests to complete and levels to pass.
The horse graphics and mannerisms is pretty spot on, clearly the people who made this really love horses.
The gameplay loop is pretty simple: Buy/grow a horse, feed it, enter it into a race to see if it's any good, feed it more or sell it to Tesco.
The story isn't too hard to finish, and compared to the mobile version, it is much more fun to breed horses on desktop and see how many different horses you can have.
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway. 3 more themes were each raised by fewer than 6 sampled reviews and are not shown.
