What players think
The recurring themes across 300 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
To compensate it looks like they put a lot more effort into mechanics, level design, bosses, and other improvements.
While the overworld sprites for both the old and new characters maintain the same style that they had with Half-Genie Hero, the character illustrations for the dialogue are the best they've ever been.
Even though most of the overworld is underground, it offers a decent variety of visuals and enemy designs.
The voice acting was improved, sounding more natural, and has fun animal noises.
What follows is an adventure that blends exploration, combat, and light puzzle-solving within a beautifully crafted Metroidvania structure.
On the upside, Seven Sirens does a great job visually with it's character design, cutscenes, and boss battles.
