What players think
The recurring themes across 300 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
In the end the amazing level design, fun movement mechanics, perfect boss fights and responsive controls are all tied up into a coherent and briliant package.
The bosses are fun, especially near the end where the difficulty ramps up a bit without feeling unfair at all.
The game delivers a semi-compelling Sci-Fi story about robots, 200 years after the flame of humanity has been extinguished, yet some of humanity's worst traits still linger in the code of these seemingly perfect, self-constructing automata.
In terms of combat the moves are basic but it's so responsive that it feels great.
For a small team the game had a great amount of charm, pleasant visuals and music, and snappy controls.
The soundtrack is equally strong: calm, ambient tracks set the tone for exploration, while boss fights burst with energy, especially in the Trials of Steel, where the music makes each battle even more exciting.
