What players think

The single-player campaign in Battlefield 3 is also worthy of a special compliment, with a very good plot, musical accompaniment.
I've heard the multiplayer is outstanding, and with it being a Battlefield game, I would expect nothing less.
Gameplay is excellent, as expected, with a huge weapon variety, and the sound design is one of the best I've ever seen, it has DEPTH, even better than recent Battlefield games.
As for the graphics, it is kinda unbelievable seeing this beautiful game was released in 2011 running at stupidly high framerates, while today we have to rely on DLSS and FrameGen to even get 60fps on some ♥♥♥♥♥♥ cell-shaded game.
I really like the huge variety of weapons, weapon modifications, and military equipment, the atmosphere of total carnage and the battle for every inch of land (as reality has shown, war looks completely different, but it's better to not know what real war looks like and just play Battlefield).
The sound design is great and the guns do feel realistic, however the hit detection is sometimes spotty and enemies often get back up after eating 4 shots from a rifle.

Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
No themes split opinion in this sample.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway.
