What players think
The recurring themes across 300 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
However, the story could be absolutely incredible, but bad gameplay takes way at least one point from that 10/10.
The gameplay manages to be a dice oriented combat system that still feels deeply strategic and complex without being overwhelming.
A lot of doing well in the combat revolves around understanding how certain mechanics interact and using them to your advantage.
Complementing this visual craft is the magnificent soundtrack, composed by Mili and other contributors, which shifts seamlessly between eerie ambient melodies, tragic ballads, and adrenaline-pumping battle themes.
From sounds to visuals, this game was clearly made on a rather limited budget, which I personally only minded at the start, but got used to fairly quickly.
TL;DR: Somehow able to merge gameplay with story seemlessly whilst also using the gameplay to help tell the story, challenge in the gameplay helps make those exact fights memorable, unique and communicate to the player the extent of the power of these characters, character design incredible -- love gebura and binah, hod is an absolute cinnamon bun.
