What players think
The recurring themes across 300 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
The only reason this remaster gets a 5/10 is because of the sheer brilliance of the underlying game—the flawless narrative, the deeply moving characters, and the timeless story are still there.
The art style is timeless in my opinion and really didn't need a remaster and certainly isn't worth upgrading from the original.
Obviously the game's time travel mechanics are supernatural, but underneath that there's a very human message about growing up, looking back, and realizing how quickly time passes.
The fall colors, the hopefulness of a new school year, and the ever so moody soundtrack.
The character design and personalities are amazing and they make you actually want to like or hate them.
