Sheepo has some interesting gameplay ideas that it unfortunately doesn't fully realize due to the casual audience it appears to target.
The platforming and movement are challenging enough to be satisfying, without edging into the kaizo trap territory of difficulty that for someone like me with limited time to play games, is a big turn-off.
I think there are only 2 main developers so I can't blame them for picking an efficient art style.
Overall Sheepo is a solid metroidvania as long as you not looking for combat and other RPG features that one would normally associate with the genre - just a fun little game to hop around.
Unexpected narrative decisions that make the game feel "meta" (and hilarious at certain points!!!).
The sound effects are light but fit perfectly w/ the tone of the game.
