What players think
The recurring themes across 300 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
Strap the basebuilding but embrace the exploration, have a load of "bosses" and dangers etc.
The underwater scenery, lighting effects, creature animations, sound design and underwater player movement are worthy of a AAA tile, lending itself to photo realism.
A lot has changed since - shooting is now more interesting thanks to the different types of weapons we have and there are also more enemy types.
Great lighting, eerie sound design, and realistic sea life create constant suspense.
I will be looking forward to future content for this game, perhaps even a co-op multiplayer mode and the inclusion of the Hydra that got scrapped *apparently* due to poor reception.
