Unfortunately SNK is infamous for making extremely fun games, with some of the best gameplay you can offer in the fighting game genre, but making terrible products overall when it comes to aspects outside of gameplay.
If you're looking for a precise fighting game where skill and reflexes matter, combined with a rich lore and stunning characters, you shouldn't hesitate.
The art style is great, creating some of most colorful and gorgeous looking stages I've ever seen, with my absolute favorite being Mikatagahara Field.
Every single character of the roster is fun to play and it's actually hard to pick a favorite.
Maybe there could have been a 1 hit kill melee duel mode like the Bushido Blade series, providing an intense game mode every action counts.
Voice-acting is great and definitely more mature than what you usually get from japanese media.
