I love how in every run, there's usually one big discovery along with a handful of smaller things that always feel like some progression toward the endgame is being made.
In your first half hour with Patch Quest, you’d be forgiven for assuming that this adorable little 2D monster-tamer game is nothing more than some easy-going fun that’s maybe even a tad repetitive.
Finally, Patch Quest is stuffed full of stylistic charm, as it sports vibrant and varied top-down 2D visuals, a quirky, fun soundtrack with songs that reflect both the current environment and level of intensity, and truly captivating sound design that both delights the ears and imparts invaluable information to the player who’s often already pushed to the brink of what they can visually comprehend.
In a world generally lacking in good online co-op games that aren't shooters/MOBAs, Patch Quest is an excellent and really fun option.

And while I said it's a ripoff of Binding of Isaac, which is true, it's got a lot of differentiating factors, like slightly better graphics, co-op play, crappy console peasant controller prompts, and tameable critters (in fact that's part of the core combat mechanism of this Binding of Isaac clone).
