I would say that Nocturne's story stood out as strong, but not especially earthshattering to me like some stories in the indie space have been.
The gameplay in noctrune is almost flawless, and I would love to give this game a perfect score, but there's one minor gripe I have that I shall go over at the end of the review.
Every enemy has a unique song, and 3 unique variants of that song which keeps every combat feeling fresh.
The single most important part of a rhythm game experience is enjoying the music that you're playing to, and Nocturne manages to have an engaging soundtrack with a lot of variety with excellent mixing.
I absolutely love the range of difficulty and accessibility options, allowing anyone to play the game and enjoy this special story.
The combination of the visuals, the moment itself, and the music creates an incredibly powerful sequence.
