The items in game are fun to collect and creating builds is quite enjoyable.
Being able to customize the difficulty a little bit also makes for really fun challenge run ideas, and to help get that pesky 666 oni mask achievement.
It’s rare to find a game where melee characters make up such a big part of the roster.
The big difference between this and Risk of Rain that really stands out for me, however, is that every character's combat and mobility skills are upgrade-able (picked from a draw of randomized choices each time), and there is a WIDE variety of upgrades for each character.
The game presents an adequate gameplay loop, Kill enemies, get upgrades, kill boss, repeat, and even has multiplayer coop too.
This game stands on its on merits as a lewd third person action rougelite with really good multiplayer functionality that just keeps getting better because these devs are in the discord with the community and they read the feedback.
