Those who don't like to min-max also can enjoy the nice narrative, which feels fresh every chapter due to how the game is designed.
Instead, it plays like a point & click adventure with turn-based combat and, to my greatest surprise, crafting.
The standout element of the game is the graphics, which are really good.
That visual of literally diving into the pages and the soundtrack bring it together for me, elevating the game when nothing else could.
While The Bookwalker ran very well on the Steam Deck, I wound up doing the bulk of my playthrough on my PC.
Great concept, the character design is awesome, and there's just enough story to make you want to see it through.
