What players think
The recurring themes across 300 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
The graphics are almost completely 2D, but there is a three-dimensionality to the mechanics in clever ways, like being landed affecting sensors, or how fights are conducted at a different relative angle from the map, and layered sprites. like I said- It has blood that is decades old from the days of hardware limitations.
The combat is visceral and takes more skill than videos you see would seem to indicate.
The story around all that gameplay is also pretty engaging and has several really cool twists.

Box2D is also struggling a bit in damage models with the 1.16 changes, though the visuals are nicely improved.
