The fun - despite the really quite dark and gritty world, characters here have a sense of humor; Peripeteia is obviously a labour of love for the developers and it invites you to have fun with it and try different things.
-the gameplays relation ship to the story. in most of the immersive sim games ive played the way you play the game and its effects on the story generally very binary. you can kill every one and solve problems with force or go quiet and not run into problems in the first place. if game play effects the ending, pretty much theres a good and a bad and thats it. this games approach to this makes me think of fallout new vegas. with the mission levels being so big, the quest lines you find give you completly different levels. not like branching level paths, no i mean depending on what you find and what you choose you will only be forced to see half of the level with little to no interation with the other half. to me this is great because of how much that adds to replayability.
- the soundtrack fits the theme and setting well, and most of the original tracks are pretty good
(EDIT: i have realized that the unmatched schizophrenia of the developers and community is actually a critical part of the experience of playing this game; it's an im-sim with PS2 graphics, a cyberpunk-ish plot, and a lot of political satire, so you can guess what kind of people that attracts. you kind of just have to learn to live with the vibe in the community spaces i guess)
