Tainted Grail: Fall of Avalon is one of those rare games that quietly grabs you, consumes your free time, and then makes you wonder how 98 hours disappeared so effortlessly... and I’m still very happily exploring Avalon :)
Forty hours in, the story is no longer simply "one of the things I like about Tainted Grail." It is one of the main reasons I keep returning to it.
TLDR: Great visuals, entertaining combat, engaging storyline, the grey morality of the grimdark setting can get a little repetitive but the rest of the game more than makes up for it.
Visuals are wonderful, especially when you can pretty much max them out if you have a decent enough GPU since your CPU does most of the processing.
Finally, some of the characters were very memorable and there was a good variety in personality types with almost universally good voice acting.
There are so many ways you can build and customize your character, it's simply amazing.
