What players think
The recurring themes across 80 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
Personally i found the characters and story great and fun the whole way through.
It's quite unique, I found small elements that remind me of Aldnoah Zero (OST), Macross (Divas and the "power of song"), Knights of Sidonia (Tsugumi's case) and Genesis of Aquarion (Much shorter than 12K years, if you catch the reference of what I mean), to name a few, only talking about the good parts, of course.
As for the gameplay, while on the surface it is just a visual novel, the VR immersiveness and visuals absolutely create an unique and fun experience to play through the game with.
Virtual concerts make effective use of three-dimensional space, lighting, music, and scale, allowing the player to experience the performance from within the environment.
Weapons such as Rail Cannons contribute to the spectacle, while defensive and offensive interactions make battles feel appropriately dramatic in VR.
