What players think
The recurring themes across 300 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
It had helpful dialogue boxes for a ton of the puzzles letting you know whether you had collected all of the tools necessary to complete the puzzle or not.
However, by making more of the game’s content available to be explored at the player’s own pace rather than directly linked to story progression, at any point in time there’s several alternate puzzles for you to tackle and then return with a fresh perspective.
The visuals are the same as the first one: colourful and pleasing to look at.
That’s not to say that the solutions were always easy to come by: There’s a varied mix of difficulty on display.
The audio design complements the visual charm, with a light, bouncy soundtrack that shifts between playful and mysterious depending on the environment.
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway. 2 more themes were each raised by fewer than 6 sampled reviews and are not shown.
