What players think
The recurring themes across 49 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
The result is a journey that feels both nostalgic and distinct, combining retro visuals with a narrative centered on rebuilding, hidden agendas, and the lingering effects of conflict.
Considering the constraints of the retro aesthetics, the visuals and audio are top notch, with fairly standard turn based JRPG gameplay built around item management rather than skills.
I had a decent time with this game, the resource management aspect of its combat was interesting and it rarely felt like it was trying to be too ambitious, which worked for making an RPG that felt complete despite being only about 6-7 hours long on normal difficulty.
