From a narrative perspective — and to a small extent in gameplay — it gave me strong Katana ZERO vibes, which is high praise in my book.
I love good pixel art, and a lot of the visuals in this game are extremely interesting and creative, on top of just being beautiful.
Combining that with a soundtrack befitting the dystopian city Sanabi takes place in makes playing the game an absolute joy for the eyes and ears.
I felt some inspiration here and there from games like "self-discovery mountain climber" to "neo-future timeslowing samurai," with incredibly fun platforming, puzzle, and combat sections placed throughout the game.
For a bit of context, I played this on a controller and am a massive fan of platforming games, Celeste is my favourite game of all time and it isn't even close, and I found myself comparing Sanabi to it a lot as I played it.
