Let's just start by saying that this game has everything essential that make a good roguelite game; it has tons of unlocks, tons of weapon variety, 15 different classes of characters that are all quite different, different difficulties, great progression between runs, and different boss paths to choose.
The art style is unique and playful, the sound design works well with the visuals and sounds clean overall.
I don't think it really needs it for what it is, but I'll be glad to see the story eventually and I'll be happy to work for it...
The different areas of the game all have distinct identities and color palletes that are all really gorgeous to look at, though the one area i think the game could improve on is the soundtrack - no unique music for the alternative path levels?
Genuinely quite fun, it advises to use a controller to play but handles just fine with the ole KB&M
