What players think
The recurring themes across 300 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
You'll enjoy the gameplay until you hit a wall of unfair advantages for paying players, frustrating balance, and technical problems.
As for the average player, picking them up on a 50% sale is pretty reasonable and they pop up fairly often, there's more than enough depth to every character even with half the roster you have hundreds of hours worth of content at the base price.
The art is cute, the mechanics and gameloop are fun, and asynchronous multiplayer is... implemented, if not balanced.
Great art style, characters, and little story moments, and it’s been nice seeing the devs keep tweaking and improving things as the game evolves.
It has incredible depth and a very long learning curve (more on that later).
At the end of the day, this is a very polished, rich, interesting, one-of-a-kind game that not only boasts very pretty art for every single card and cosmetic (which we can certainly use more of in the age of AI) as well as interesting, various, character-filled voice-acting for most every interaction, but a notable diversity in gameplay as well that doesn't pigeonhole you into any single route.
