Since the weapons in the game are generally a blast to use, I used this system quite a lot and really enjoyed it.
The plot is interesting, the visuals are nice, the game runs well (getting between 160 and 220 FPS at 3440xx1440 with a 9800X3D and a 4080 Super, max settings, DLSS off), but that's it.
Even though the game isn't open world, there are loads of areas to explore, including bosses and side quests.
The bosses are some of the best bosses I've seen in any Souls or Soulslike game, and the game just never stops being entertaining.
The graphics are simply amazing and are so well optimized you will never lag, I'm playing this game most recently on a Mac with an M1 Pro chip and I am well above 60 frames per second at all times.
Its atmosphere, art direction, and environmental details are cohesive, and the music and sound design... chef's kiss.
