What players think
The recurring themes across 300 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
Alright, from the get-go - I really like the core concepts of the game: the mechanics, amazing art style, music, and all interactions between fablings.
The graphics are far more detailed, the camera angles are more flexible.
I like that it has difficulty modes, including a sandbox mode, but I didn't use that one.
I like the fact that you have a standard map setting, where you play with the story - starting with a humble labourer’s hut and building up to a palace and beyond - as well as a creative map setting, where all items and features are unlocked, allowing you to create your perfect city in whichever order/speed you choose.
The soundtrack is subtle but lovely — harp melodies, flutes, soft percussion.
