Gameplay
Players who bring up Gameplay mostly praise it.
32 of 300 sampled reviews raised it
Yes, the difficulty is still somewhat unreasonable and the gameplay is considerably slower than the arcade titles or the later 16-bit titles, but it’s so full of creativity and fun that I like it about as much as Turtles in Time.
Co-op
Players who bring up Co-op mostly praise it.
29 of 300 sampled reviews raised it
Plus, given that a lot of the games in the collection are best played in coop, several titles (mostly best ones) support playing them online with friends.
Steam Deck
Players who bring up Steam Deck mostly praise it.
12 of 300 sampled reviews raised it
It is recommended to play only if you have a gamepad or Steam Deck, because this is how you can feel young again when you sat in front of the TV and played Atari Jaguar, PlayStation, Sega Saturn, Nintendo 64 and all the old consoles of the time.
Audio
Players who bring up Audio mostly praise it.
10 of 300 sampled reviews raised it
Plus, it’s full of cool animations, sound bites, wonderfully creative stages, awesome soundtrack...
Graphics
Players who bring up Graphics mostly praise it.
9 of 300 sampled reviews raised it
While the graphics remain true to their original pixel art style, they have been upscaled to fit modern screens without losing their charm.
