What players think
The recurring themes across 300 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
It is not a fully open world, but its combat spaces provide more freedom than many linear shooters.
All tops with a graphics engine so far-ahead of it's time, it literally became a meme.
Lastly the story, it has a really good idea for a premise and it was a fresh concept for the time.
On a gun mechanics side, I will say I actually do appreciate the delay to being able to aim when you swap weapons, as this forces you to play more deliberately with your positioning and forces you to slow down.
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway.
