The sprites are adorable (I love the character select sprite for Flandre........<33).

Visuals: they're gorgeous and very charming, I love the way the bullets and attacks look, they really pop out but not obnoxiously, like, you can tell they're glowy and stuff, and I think it's really helped by the somewhat dark atmosphere of the levels.
