It's such a thrill to have a completely open world with a story to follow AND Boss "battles".
Every Lore Scroll, every Story Beat could've been put into a linear, or linear/half-open-world-segments type of Story game, as the story is and stays the important part for Spirit of the North, for me.
absolutely spectacular game. the only real issue i have with it, which really might just be my computer is that every once in a while, my game will crash when i die, but i kind of like it, because it gives me an excuse to get off the game for a bit. otherwise, the visuals are great, soundtrack is beautiful, and i don't know any other downsides!
