I Am Your Beast doesn't go in any particularly crazy directions with its story, but it delivers a pretty satisfying plot.
A lot of game in one package: 55 levels of gameplay, lots of side missions, strict timing for S-Ranks giving you a lot to optimize, lots of varied weapons and ways to use the weapons alongside Harding's own fists & kicks being useful makes every combat encounter feel unique as you route your own, personal, way through each level.
The great soundtrack by RJ Lake sells the intense action of levels and emotional impacts of the plot.
Weapons feel good, movement is fluid, and you can goomba stomp people which is pretty fun.
The story is great, the gameplay is great, the art style is beautiful, and it just overall makes you feel like a badass.
There are plenty of difficulty options, so everybody should be able to enjoy it.
