Lulu’s Temple is a compact action-adventure that makes an immediately memorable impression through its combination of Egyptian tomb exploration, pixel-art violence, platforming, and darkness-based navigation.
The archaeologist is equipped with a powerful firearm, and encounters with the pyramid’s undead inhabitants can become surprisingly violent for a game with such charming pixel graphics.
Casual platformer stuff there but the torch/weapons feel satisfying to use and I wasn't getting boring at any point during playthrough.
The soundtrack similarly embraces retro influences while introducing Egyptian-inspired characteristics that suit the location.
