With the new update on the lowest graphics i got 60 fps surprisingly and 35 while driving, so the game can improve with optimalization.
Good on the devs for actually adding proper controller support, I play train sims with hotas, and this game has it as native support which is rare because I usually have to go with joy-emulators.
