What players think
The recurring themes across 300 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
New zones, characters, weapons, enemies and mechanics like Curse genuinely expand the game.
Then there's a whole layer of challenge in all the different difficulty levels on top.
Co-op is a nice addition too, although I spent the vast majority of my playtime solo, so it is not a major part of the experience for me.
Achievements, in-game challenges, loads of characters with their own unique positives and negatives, SO many cool unique weapons and ways to beat it, endless mode.
Apart from Nightmare mode I would almost call this game perfect, danger 0-5 is a great difficulty curve, every class plays very differently and you should think of them as different difficulty modifiers.
First I'm going to straight up say that I enjoyed it throughout; Brotato is a wonderful example of the "pick up and play" concept, especially on a Steam Deck.
