Manuscripts are still a thing as well, and it’s both great from a story point but also essential if you’re gonna try to access some of the weapon cases (up to 40 manuscript pages which are marked on the minimap as question marks) but for the most part everything remains basically the same from Alan Wake, just with a few things changed around and everything feeling improved movement wise.
Same concept, but improved dodge, gunplay and difficulty resulting in a much more fun gameplay experience!
If you’re looking for more Alan Wake-styled combat then I would say this is worth it, but if you’re here for the story and don’t care for the general loop then there isn’t much here for you.
the sound, voice acting and story are all good, and the gameplay and especially the combat feels way more polished compared to AW1, the graphics are also about the same as AW1 but still slightly better.
The game’s soundtrack is full of dark ambiance, which works well for the story mode.
I had settings at high and FPS never dropped.
