What players think
The recurring themes across 300 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
Both Judgment and its sequel set a very high standard in terms of the main story; I think they're among the best story-driven games RGG has ever released.
The combat has improved since Judgment: the new Snake style feels great, blocking attacks and enjoying the change of styles is a joy.
The side activities have increased: everything about school is fun, the new minigames aren't particularly complex, but they add variety to the gameplay.
The graphics are beautiful, the framerate is excellent – what more could you want from a game?
The Japanese voice acting is solid throughout (I didn't try the English dub, so I can't speak to its quality).
It adds more depth to Kaito’s character, and the story itself is interesting enough to keep you engaged until the end.
