Moving to the gameplay side of things, things generally click, and most things hit.
Visually, it’s a beautiful game in that way that’s propped up by strong art design and direction, not with the realistic graphics that show every pimple on a character and will melt your GPU into molten slag in your case.
While it lacked the charm and joy of the first two areas, I felt like it got the game back on track for its ending.
The sfx are fun and satisfying and the soundtracks are immersive and do well to create mood.
The platforming parts of the game display themselves most in the combat where you are constantly dodging projectiles and enemies.
There are a couple points in the game where the difficulty appropriately spikes though, which is good.
