What players think

The game is a very clever Quest port, and if you don't know what to look for, it looks like a PCVR game made for a GTX 970 or close, like Red Matter 1.
You only have graphics options to set dynamic and indirect shadows on or off, so you cannot set antialiasing or other advanced options at all, only the shadows:
Red Matter 2 is more than twice the size of the original and one of the best looking/optimized VR games, but its gameplay is just tolerable rather than exciting.
Soundtrack and voice acting are top notch!
It's a very enjoyable storytelling game with some interesting puzzles, great graphics with perfect optimization, constant 90 FPS without any drops on the highest settings with Ryzen 5800X and RTX 3080 12GB, and with a lot of room to spare (according to fpsVR graphs).
The game is optimized for lcd hmds and now uses MSAA for antialiasing (Red Matter 1 used temporal antialiasing).
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway. One more theme was raised by fewer than 6 sampled reviews and is not shown.
