Fortunately, the game lets you reassign skill points on your characters at any point outside of battle - you don't have to worry about spending your skill points wrong and having to start over.
Early encounters may feel manageable, but the difficulty escalates quickly, requiring a solid grasp of the underlying systems to progress.
+complex combat system with multiple elements, magical and physical strengths and weaknesses, barriers, blocks, buffs, debuffs, status effects, priorities, and more.
The game's soundtrack is very good and definitely memorable (I have heard so many hours of the overworld theme while changing gear and respec'ing it is stuck in my head forever), even if I'll never get over how good boss theme #1 is, which sadly gets replaced halfway through the game for something a little more sober.
