What players think
The recurring themes across 46 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
The story/mystery is presented in an engaging fashion and I like that I have a few mental theories on what's going on at the same time while parsing through the available evidence.
I am admittedly a sucker for proper pixel-style graphics, but I am impressed by not just how Signal & Echo captures an authentic style with clear limitations, but also is able to create an original own art style that is simultaneously familiar.
Overall though, I was engaged in finding clues on what was going on, immersed in the presentation, and loved how the simple gameplay demanded me to pay attention and actually use my noggin ^.
