I've read some people call it a Hades-Like, & I suppose that's what I kept thinking when I played the game "Wow, this plays like Hades, only I don't suck at it" and that's a very welcome mechanic.
I like the fluidity of the javelin mechanic, how each one feels different enough where it isn't like Hades where you get different weapons but you can make your javelin, explosive, a lancer, shotgun, rail gun or other variations (55 javelins to collect to be exact).
The voice acting isn't master-class and has a handful of awkward readings, but overall it's very good.
TLDR: Good art style aside, this roguelite drowns in its own repetition.
Pros: Tight Combat, Art Style, Character Design, Fun Gameplay, Satisfying Boss Fights & Variety of Weapon Abilities.
It shines the brightest on the SteamDeck, I absolutely love it on the SteamDeck.
