What players think
The recurring themes across 300 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
Released (sadly still) in early access on Steam on August 26 by Gentlymad Studios and published by Assemble Entertainment, it promises to broadly evolve the city-building and survival mechanics that fans of the first game appreciated, while of course introducing new elements aimed at enhancing the depth and replayability of the experience.
Optimization is needed for sure, changing the graphics settings doesn't seem to do anything at all to help this issue and the game tends to chug when you have multiple zones and a high population, now this is normal and expected in these types of games but this game also doesn't look very graphically demanding as it should be, Never ran into any game freezes or crashing though.
For instance the statistics interface, production, population well being, etc, with that interface you can see better how much you are producing and consuming, homeless settlers, etc.
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway. 2 more themes were each raised by fewer than 6 sampled reviews and are not shown.
